【摘要】:Thisstandarddetailstherequirementsforingressprotectionofluminairesinroadwayandarealightingequipment,installedfortheirintendeduseandspecifiedbyenduser.Whiletheserequirementsaresuitableformosttypesoflightingequipment,itshouldnotbeassumedthatallthelisteddegreesofprotectionareapplicabletoaparticulartypeofequipment.Themanufactureroftheequipmentshouldbeconsultedtodeterminethedegreesofprotectionavailable.Theadoptionofthisstandardshouldpromoteuniformmethodsofdescribingtheprotectionprovidedbythelightingequipment(luminaire)enclosure.
