【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofindividualhydrocarboncomponentsofspark-ignitionenginefuelsandtheirmixturescontainingoxygenateblends(MTBE,ETBE,ethanol,andsoforth)withboilingrangesupto225?C.Otherlightliquidhydrocarbonmixturestypicallyencounteredinpetroleumrefiningoperations,suchasblendingstocks(naphthas,reformates,alkylates,andsoforth)mayalsobeanalyzed;however,statisticaldatawasobtainedonlywithblendedspark-ignitionenginefuels.Basedonthecooperativestudyresults,individualcomponentconcentrationsandprecisionaredeterminedintherangefrom0.01toapproximately30mass%.Thetestmethodmaybeapplicabletohigherandlowerconcentrationsfortheindividualcomponents;however,theusermustverifytheaccuracyifthetestmethodisusedforcomponentswithconcentrationsoutsidethespecifiedranges.Thistestmethodalsodeterminesmethanol,ethanol,t-butanol,methylt-butylether(MTBE),ethylt-butylether(ETBE),andt-amylmethylether(TAME)insparkignitionenginefuelsintheconcentrationrangefrom1to30mass%.However,thecooperativestudydataprovidedinsufficientstatisticaldataforobtainingaprecisionstatementforthesecompounds.Althoughamajorityoftheindividualhydrocarbonspresentaredetermined,someco-elutionofcompoundsisencountered.Ifthistestmethodisutilizedtoestimatebulkhydrocarbongroup-typecomposition(PONA),theuserofsuchdatashouldbecautionedthatsomeerrorwillbeencounteredduetoco-elutionandalackofidentificationofallcomponentspresent.Samplescontainingsignificantamountsofnaphthenic(forexample,virginnaphthas)constituentsaboven-octanemayreflectsignificanterrorsinPONA-typegroupings.Basedonthegasolinesamplesintheinterlaboratorycooperativestudy,thistestmethodisapplicabletosamplescontaininglessthan25mass%ofolefins.However,someinterferingco-elutionwiththeolefinsaboveCispossible,particularlyifblendingcomponentsortheirhigherboilingcutssuchasthosederivedfromfluidcatalyticcracking(FCC)areanalyzed,andthetotalolefincontentmaynotbeaccurate.AnnexA1ofthistestmethodcomparesresultsofthetestmethodwithothertestmethodsforselectedcomponents,includingolefins,andseveralgrouptypesforseveralinterlaboratorycooperativestudysamples.Althoughbenzene,toulene,andseveraloxygenatesaredetermined,whendoubtfulastotheanalyticalresultsofthesecomponents,confirmatoryanalysescanbeobtainedbyusingthespecifictestmethodslistedinthereferencesection.Totalolefinsinthesamplesmaybeobtainedorconfirmed,orboth,ifnecessary,byTestMethodD1319(volume%)orothertestmethods,suchasthosebasedonmultidimentionalPONA-typeofinstruments.Ifwaterisorissuspectedofbeingpresent,itsconcentrationmaybedetermined,ifdesired,bytheuseofTestMethodD1744orequivalent.Othercompoundscontainingoxygen,sulfur,nitrogen,andsoforth,mayalsobepresent,andmayco-elutewiththehydrocarbons.Ifdeterminationofthesespecificcompoundsisrequired,itisrecommendedthattestmethodsforthesespecificmaterialsbeused,suchasTestMethodsD4815andD5599foroxygenates,andTestMethodD5623forsulfurcompounds,orequivalent.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
