【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverszinccoatingsappliedbythehot-dipprocessonironandsteelhardware.Thehot-dipgalvanizingprocessconsistsofpartsbeingimmersedinmoltenzincforasufficienttimetoallowametallurgicalreactionbetweenironfromthesteelsurfaceandthemoltenzinc,resultingintheformationofZn/Fealloylayersbondingthecoatingtothesteelsurface.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtobeapplicabletohardwareitemsthatarecentrifugedorotherwisehandledtoremoveexcessgalvanizingbathmetal(freezinc).Coatingthicknessgraderequirementsreflectthis.1.3Thisspecificationisapplicabletoordersineitherinch-poundunits(asA153)orinSIunits(asA153M).Inch-poundunitsandSIunitsarenotnecessarilyexactequivalents.Withinthetextofthisspecificationandwhereappropriate,SIunitsareshowninbrackets.Eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheotherwithoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.InthecaseofordersinSIunits,alltestingandinspectionshallbedoneusingthemetricequivalentofthetestorinspectionmethodasappropriate.InthecaseofordersinSIunits,suchshallbestatedtothegalvanizerwhentheorderisplaced.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
